Lars Nyberg – High over Cummen Strand

In response to ‘Red Hanrahan’s Song About Ireland’ by WB Yeats. This print was part of our 2015 exhibition ‘A lonely impulse of delight’ WB Yeats 150 Years.

Lars Nyberg was born in Sweden in 1956 and attended The Royal Institute of Art in Stockholm. He specialises in drypoint. In 2001 Nyberg received a commission from The Nobel Committee for Physiology & Medicine to make an edition for the Nobel prize award winner for that year. Since 2006 he has been responsible for selecting the artists to be commissioned to create the annual editions for the Nobel Prize award for Physiology & Medicine. He is a member of the Royal Society of Painter-Printmakers, London.
